Ruffed Grouse Society Fundraiser to Feature the
Parker® Gun AAHE 28-Gauge Offering by Remington
Madison, North Carolina – The Ruffed Grouse Society (RGS), Inc., is pleased to announce a limited raffle drawing for a new Parker Gun AAHE 28-gauge side-by-side double barrel shotgun, commissioned to the Remington Arms Company, Inc. Only one thousand tickets, numbered 000 to 999, will be sold by RGS for a chance to win this exceptional firearm which retails for $49,000. The drawing will be held in conjunction with the Pennsylvania evening lottery drawing on April 14, 2007. Each ticket costs $100 and can be purchased by contacting the Ruffed Grouse Society at (412) 262-4044.
Remington announced an exclusive offering of the Parker AAHE 28-gauge side-by-side sporting gun in the fall of 2005 and began accepting limited orders for these high quality, exceptional double barrel guns. The breath-taking features of this finely crafted sporting gun capture the legacy and essence of the Parkers from days gone by. As with each Parker, the RGS gun is hand-constructed with the finest Exhibition Grade wood, intricate checkering and elaborate, unique engraving featuring ruffed grouse, American woodcock and a setter with a grouse in its mouth. The Ruffed Grouse Society, headquartered in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, focuses their efforts on habitat conservation, education about and management of both ruffed grouse and woodcock while promoting the great tradition of grouse and woodcock hunting. “Established in 1961, RGS continues to fulfill its mission by working with its volunteers to create young forest habitat that benefits grouse, woodcock and about 100 other wildlife species and conducting fundraising efforts, such as the Parker Gun raffle, to support that activity” explained Michael Zagata, Executive Director of the Ruffed Grouse Society. “The money raised from this extraordinary raffle opportunity will help to fund our ongoing conservation and management efforts.”
