NOSLER INTRODUCES LARGEST PARTITION

After six decades of innovation, the Nosler Partition® is used by more big game hunters than any other bullet. For 2008, Nosler® offers the largest Partition to date. Designed for .458 Winchester Magnum and .460 Weatherby Magnum, the .458 Partition is ideal for dangerous game like Cape Buffalo.

Many big game hunters choose the Partition for its superior penetration and stopping power. It provides the ultimate in accuracy, controlled expansion and weight retention. When the front lead is released it causes tissue damage by fragmentation, while the mushroomed bullet penetrates enough to exit the animal or stop under the skin on the off-side hide.

The .458 Partition will be available in June 2008.

Built on the NoslerCustom Action


The NoslerCustom Model 48 is built on the same action as our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Edition Custom rifles—but in a round-top version that accepts standard scope mounting bases*. Nosler’s proprietary push-feed action features a 3-position safety and Timney adjustable trigger set to a crisp, 3 lb. let-off. The Model 48 offers exceptional precision and reliable performance. The action features classic Ted Blackburn-style, one-piece bottom metal and trigger guard. To achieve the highest level of accuracy, the Model 48 action is mated to a hand-lapped, 24” match grade stainless barrel that has been custom chambered for the high performance Winchester Short Magnum cartridge. A true all-weather rifle, the Model 48 integrates the unique MicroSlick™ Coating on interior metal surfaces, including inside the bolt body, on the firing pin, and firing pin spring for maximum corrosion and wear-resistance, even with extensive dry firing.

Extreme-Conditions Stock

Engineered as much for 20-mile days as it is for 300-yard shots, the NoslerCustom ultra-lightweight stock is built to handle the extremes, yet still deliver a firm platform for the barreled action. This classic-styled rifle stock is built entirely of Kevlar composites for ruggedness and maximum weight savings. The stock’s durable, deep onyx gray finish complements the handsome, sniper-gray CERAKOTE™ coating on the barrel and action. Stock includes recoil pad and sling swivel studs.

The Ballistic Tip Lead-Free™ is everything that varmint and predator hunters expect from a Ballistic Tip®, in a lead-free design.
The Ballistic Tip Lead-Free™ is premiering as a flat base bullet with a metallic colored, polymer tip. The leadless bullet features Nosler’s exclusive Fragmenting Copper Core Technology™ (patent pending) which exhibits immediate and rapid expansion at practical varmint shooting velocities of 1800 fps and above. This bullet is highly frangible and extremely volatile.
The Nosler Ballistic Tip Lead-Free™ can safely be used within lead free zones or shooting ranges that require non-magnetic bullets. Users can be confident of the same performance and quality that the Ballistic Tip has made famous for over 25 years.
