Crystal clear, ergonomic and robust: The new SLC 42 HD binoculars from SWAROVSKI OPTIK
Versatility and robustness are the outstanding characteristics of the popular SLC binoculars from SWAROVSKI OPTIK. SWAROVSKI OPTIK is building on the success of this product line by creating a new, robust, ergonomic SLC model with crystal clear HD optics and a new focusing mechanism.

SWAROVSKI OPTIK has enhanced its successful series of SLC binoculars by adding new, fluoride-containing HD lenses to both the 8x42 and 10x42 models. This special lens system reduces colour fringing and provides high-contrast images in true-to-life colour. The high-performance HD optics guarantee high-quality, crystal clear images with razor-sharp outlines, allowing users to spot the most intricate and fascinating details of the plant and animal world.

In addition to the HD optics, the SLC 42 HD models feature special optimised coatings such as SWARODUR, SWAROTOP and SWAROBRIGHT on lenses and prisms, which support the effect of the HD lenses and allow users to observe nature at its finest, even in low light conditions and twilight. In addition, the SWAROCLEAN coating on the eye piece and objective lenses creates a non-stick effect, making it much easier to clean off stubborn dirt such as water marks and tree resin.

From near to far in an instant with a new focusing mechanism
With its unique combination of hard and soft components, the new focusing wheel offers excellent grip and stability in any weather conditions. Thanks to its focusing mechanism, which is particularly smooth and free from backlash, the SLC 42 HD SWAROVISION can be operated accurately even when wearing gloves. Just a turn and a half takes you from infinity to a close range focus of less than two metres.

The new SLC 42 HD binoculars also have a range of vision correction options. The new focusing mechanism provides correction for impaired vision of at least 6 dpt, while the built-in dioptre adjustment of +/- 4 can compensate for different visual acuity in each eye.

The new SLC 42 HD also enables spectacle-wearers to enjoy an exceptional wide-angle field of view and benefit from the crystal clear images produced by these binoculars. The SLC 8x42 HD, for instance, gives a 136 metre field of view, providing the best overview in its class. The stable, removable twist-in eyecups are individually adjustable in three stages.

Lightweight magnesium housing and optimised ergonomics
The new, hard-wearing magnesium housing makes the new SLC 42 HD models lighter than their predecessors. This feature is particularly valuable during long periods of observation or on demanding expeditions. Despite the light weight of around just 800 grams, the magnesium housing makes the binoculars particularly robust without affecting their optical quality. Thanks to its slim, compact design and the high-grip rubber armouring with distinctive thumb rests, the binoculars are comfortable to use in any situation.

BALLISTIC TURRET - NEW Z6 MODELS


SWAROVSKI OPTIK ballistic turret now available for two more Z6 models
SWAROVSKI OPTIK has chosen to equip two more models from its successful Z6 rifle scope series with a ballistic tower in light of increasing interest. This feature allows hunters to "stay on the spot" when sighting at various distances. Hunters can individually select, effortlessly set and then easily readjust the required distances.

Since the product was first unveiled in 2007, SWAROVSKI OPTIK has created eight different Z6 models for discerning hunters. This successful rifle scope series with its 6 x zoom offers the hunter a field of view that is up to 50 percent larger, a magnification range that is up to 50 percent higher and an eye relief distance that is up to 50 percent longer. These characteristics make the Z6 rifle scopes suitable for a wide range of applications and the perfect companion for almost any hunting situation.

These SWAROVSKI OPTIK rifle scope models are available in a range of versions with different illumination, reticle and SR rail features. Until recently, it was possible to purchase the four high-magnification rifle scopes in the Z6 series with a ballistics turret. Due to sustained demand, the company has added two more Z6 models to its range of rifle scopes available with a ballistics turret. As of January 2010, it will also be possible to fit the Z6(i) 1.7-10x42 and the Z6(i) 2-12x50 with a ballistics turret. The Ballistic Turret can also be retrofitted to existing models.

Individual settings for any range
An accurate aiming point is a prerequisite for precise long-range shots. The SWAROVSKI OPTIK turret enables you to "stay on the spot" when sighting in at different distances. However, as every hunter has different requirements, SWAROVSKI OPTIK focused closely during the development phase on enabling the desired distances to be selected individually, set effortlessly and then readjusted.

The ballistic turret can be mounted by the hunter in a few simple steps. A specially developed ballistics programme calculates the required values (number of clicks) for the desired distances. Brief, concise operating instructions supplemented by 3D mounting instructions and a short film on the SWAROVSKI OPTIK homepage make installation easy and ensure that the ballistic turret is quickly ready for use. In addition, SWAROVSKI OPTIK’s own, updated ballistics programme, designed for the ballistics turret, together with the distance reticles (TDS, BR, 4A-300), can be found at http://www.swarovskioptik.com/ballisticprograms.

Las Vegas (JJ) Swarovski Optik presenterar två nyheter på den stora jaktmässan Shot Show i Las Vegas.

Med andra generationen av det välkända Z6-kikarsiktet samt den helt nya jaktkikaren EL 32 Swarovision lägger nu Swarovski Optik till två nya spjutspetsprodukter i sitt sortiment.

Båda produkterna är ett resultat av den senaste teknikutvecklingen hos Swarovski Optik i Tyrolen och båda kännetecknas av teknisk och optisk perfektion samt stor användarvänlighet. De kommer att premiärvisas under Jaktmässan SHOT SHOW i Las Vegas.

Z6 kikarsiktet börjar säljas den första februari medan EL 32 Swarovision släpps lite senare i vår, den 1 maj 2012.

-friktions stop/marker på parralax@100m .. så man kan finde tilbage i skumring
-stop/bremse ved ballistic turret..så det kun ændres ved at løsne 'bremsen' (->ikke noget usikkerhed om den er gået nogen klik 'af sig selv' når man fx går igennem)
- HD glas i modeller>x15 (var vist også før)..men en ny coating swaroclean .. der skulle lette rengøring

Broadening horizons with custom-made accessories: SWAROVSKI OPTIK to present its personalized ballistic cam at SHOT Show

Exceptional innovations in hunting firearms and long-range optics mean that challenges such as long-range shooting are nowadays a more realistic objective when hunting. Since, at the crucial moment, every second counts, SWAROVSKI OPTIK has developed the PBC personalized ballistic cam to provide hunters with optimum support and to make long-range shooting even more reliable.
In long-range hunting a particular distance may be seen as a challenge by one hunter, but as run-of-the-mill by another. In order to provide every user with optimum support at the crucial moment, SWAROVSKI OPTIK has now developed, in addition to innovations such as the 6x zoom, the personalized ballistic cam for all its rifle scopes with ballistic turrets (Z6(i), Z5 and Z3). The personalized ballistic cam will make its public debut at SHOT Show 2014 and can be ordered individually from specialist retailers from March 12, 2014.
Individual and custom-made: benefits of the personalized ballistic cam
Every ballistic turret can now also be fitted with a cam that has been specially customized for your ballistic data, with your personal shooting distances legibly engraved on it. The custom-made PBC gives hunters the chance to read several distances instead of the current three markings on the ballistic turret. They can easily read the shooting distance from the personally engraved turret, select the relevant setting in a matter of seconds, and stay on target. You can switch at any time between your personalized ballistic cam and the standard system that uses the rings, without any need for you to sight in the firearm again.
The numbers and line markings are also easier to align using the index point. Adhesive labels are no longer needed to mark the distances. You can have a number of distances engraved around the cam, depending on the caliber.
Accurate and simple: the SWAROVSKI OPTIK ballistic program
The SWAROVSKI OPTIK ballistic program is a helpful tool for calculating your personal shot flight path. This free software has a clear interface and calculates the precise data for a long-range reticle or for the ballistic turret. The ballistic program is also available for smartphones and tablet PCs. It is available at ballisticprograms.swarovskioptik.com. From March 7, 2014, an order platform for the personalized ballistic cam will be available. Depending on the analysis that is created from your personal specifications, your SWAROVSKI OPTIK retailer will order the required cam with your personal preferences engraved on it.
