Broadening horizons with custom-made accessories: SWAROVSKI OPTIK to present its personalized ballistic cam at SHOT Show
Exceptional innovations in hunting firearms and long-range optics mean that challenges such as long-range shooting are nowadays a more realistic objective when hunting. Since, at the crucial moment, every second counts, SWAROVSKI OPTIK has developed the PBC personalized ballistic cam to provide hunters with optimum support and to make long-range shooting even more reliable.
In long-range hunting a particular distance may be seen as a challenge by one hunter, but as run-of-the-mill by another. In order to provide every user with optimum support at the crucial moment, SWAROVSKI OPTIK has now developed, in addition to innovations such as the 6x zoom, the personalized ballistic cam for all its rifle scopes with ballistic turrets (Z6(i), Z5 and Z3). The personalized ballistic cam will make its public debut at SHOT Show 2014 and can be ordered individually from specialist retailers from March 12, 2014.
Individual and custom-made: benefits of the personalized ballistic cam
Every ballistic turret can now also be fitted with a cam that has been specially customized for your ballistic data, with your personal shooting distances legibly engraved on it. The custom-made PBC gives hunters the chance to read several distances instead of the current three markings on the ballistic turret. They can easily read the shooting distance from the personally engraved turret, select the relevant setting in a matter of seconds, and stay on target. You can switch at any time between your personalized ballistic cam and the standard system that uses the rings, without any need for you to sight in the firearm again.
The numbers and line markings are also easier to align using the index point. Adhesive labels are no longer needed to mark the distances. You can have a number of distances engraved around the cam, depending on the caliber.
Accurate and simple: the SWAROVSKI OPTIK ballistic program
The SWAROVSKI OPTIK ballistic program is a helpful tool for calculating your personal shot flight path. This free software has a clear interface and calculates the precise data for a long-range reticle or for the ballistic turret. The ballistic program is also available for smartphones and tablet PCs. It is available at ballisticprograms.swarovskioptik.com. From March 7, 2014, an order platform for the personalized ballistic cam will be available. Depending on the analysis that is created from your personal specifications, your SWAROVSKI OPTIK retailer will order the required cam with your personal preferences engraved on it.
