Barnes Ships MRX™ Bullets
Celebrating its 75th Anniversary, Barnes Bullets ® is now shipping all nine Maximum Range™ X-Bullets the company announced last year.
A Delrin ® tip gives the Maximum Range™ X-Bullet ® a higher ballistic coefficient, resulting in flatter trajectories and greater retained energy. A denser-than-lead Silvex ® core moves the center of gravity rearward, producing optimum ballistic performance, maximum penetration and the same exceptional accuracy Triple-Shock™ X-Bullets are famous for. Won’t fragment on impact or blow up on game. Typically provides double-diameter expansion and 100-percent weight retention. Delivers exceptional accuracy, along with long-range energy and penetration lead-core bullets simply can’t match.
Sold in 20-bullet packs, the following Maximum Range X-Bullets are currently available:
.277-inch (.270) 130-grain MRX BT
.277-inch (.270) 150-grain MRX BT
.284-inch (7mm) 140-grain MRX BT
.284-inch (7mm) 160-grain MRX BT
.308-inch (.30 caliber) 150-grain MRX BT
.308-inch (.30 caliber) 165-grain MRX BT
.308-inch (.30 caliber) 180-grain MRX BT

New Spit-Fire TMZ
Barnes Spit-Fire TMZ™ Muzzleloader Bullet
Barnes’ Spit-Fire TMZ muzzleloader bullet delivers exceptional long-range performance. This high ballistic coefficient hunting bullet features a boattail design and 100 percent copper construction, along with a specially designed streamlined polymer tip to enhance expansion.
Designed specifically for hunting, it retains its integrity even at extreme velocities, while functioning reliably at impact speeds as low as 1050 feet per second (fps).
On striking game, this exceptionally accurate bullet expands into six razor-sharp copper petals for maximum tissue damage. Creates massive shock and deep, sure penetration while retaining virtually 100 percent of its original weight. Contains no lead that can fragment or separate. Edible venison remains free of toxic lead particles.
New sabot design makes loading easier without sacrificing the tight gas seal that makes the Spit-Fire TMZ the most accurate muzzleloader bullet on the market. Creates excellent gas seal for shot-to-shot consistency. Available in .50 caliber (.451#8243; diameter) 250- and 290-grains. Sold (with sabots) in 15- and 24-bullet packs.
Be sure to use the Barnes aligner tool specific to each Barnes muzzleloader bullet style.
Aligners are available for Barnes Expander MZ, Spit-Fire and Spit-Fire TMZ in all calibers.
New Banded Solids
New Weights, Calibers Added to Barnes Banded Solids™ Lineup
Celebrating its 75th-year anniversary, Barnes Bullets has added several new calibers and weights to the Banded Solids line introduced last year.
Designed for stopping dangerous African big game, Barnes’ large-bore Banded Solids™ feature multiple bands, or rings, cut into the shank. The bands relieve pressure as the bullet passes through the bore, while virtually eliminating copper fouling. The new Banded Solids deliver exceptional accuracy and unsurpassed penetration. These homogeneous brass bullets will not disintegrate or deflect when impacting heavy bone.
Smaller-caliber Banded Solids prevent damage to valuable hides and pelts. These spitzer-shaped bullets deliver bench rest accuracy.
New Banded Solid bullets for 2007 include the following weights and calibers:
.22 (.224 inch) 45 grain BT
6mm (.243 inch).75 grain BT
.25 (.257 inch) 90 grain BT
6.5 (264 inch) 110 grain BT
.270 (.277) 120 grain BT
7mm (.284 inch) 140 grain BT
.30 (.308 inch) 165 grain BT
. 338 (.338 inch) 250 grain BT
.450/400 Nitro (.410 inch) 400 grain
.577 Nitro (.585 inch) 750 grain
.600 Nitro (.620 inch) 900 grain
