Winchester Ammunition’s Supreme RackMaster 12-gauge slug is designed to work in all types of shotgun barrels, including smooth bore, rifled barrel and rifled choke tube. The slug features a new lead nose and the Winglide rear projectile stabilizer.
The new line of WinLite Low Recoil shotgun ammunition includes 12- and 20-gauge target loads, a 12-gauge buckshot load and two 12-gauge slugs. The 12-gauge target load has 28 grams of No. 8 shot and is ideal for cowboy action and target shooters. The 20-gauge target load has 7/8 ounces of No. 8 shot. The 12-gauge buckshot load has nine pellets of size 00 in a 2-3/4" size. The rifled slug and the Platinum Tip Hollow Point Sabot, in 12-gauge 2-3/4", offer up to one-half the normal recoil.
Winchester’s Supreme Xtended Range 3", 12-gauge waterfowl load has a payload of 1-3/8 ounces of No. 6 shot. In its Supreme Elite Xtended Range turkey loads, Winchester now offers a 20 gauge. The new 3" load uses 1-1/8 ounces of No. 5 shot, producing a muzzle velocity of 1,225 fps.
Two new loads have been added to the Xpert Hi-Velocity Steel Shot Waterfowl line. The 12-gauge 3-1/2" loads offer 1,625 fps velocities. The loads use 1-1/4 ounces of steel shot, one in size No. 2, the other size BB.
Winchester expands the Supreme XP3 line with the addition of a 130-grain XP3 bullet in .270 Win. and .270 WSM. The .270 Win. XP3, 130-grain offers a muzzle velocity of 3,050 fps. The .270 WSM XP3, 130-grain offers a muzzle velocity of 3,275 fps.
In its .204 Ruger offerings, Winchester is adding a 32-grain Ballistic Silvertip load. It is also introducing a 150-grain Ballistic Silvertip load in the Supreme line. The new .30-30 150-grain bullet has a silver polymer tip and Winchester’s patented Lubalox coating. The blunt bullet nose is designed to be used in tube-feed magazine firearms.
